AU Idea- Mutated Alternia

This is an AU, you can play whoever you want uvu OCs and canons are both accepted.

Wasn't this matter of canons addressed already? There's a whole thingamajig for free-canon AU stuff, I believe. 

Anyway, now I'm totally going to make Fef round people up. Get everyone together, maybe? Perhaps they'll all be convinced that she's gone completely off the deep end (nautical themes intended) and unite to knock some sense into her! Maybe not. Well, probably not. That'd likely be an unnecessarily silly turn for the AU. But I am serious in declaring the proactive Peixes a thing. You have all my agreements (all of them?) regarding the plot potential!

I think I'll just play Condesce- related circumstances and bots and things when she comes into real play, if no one grabs her officially.

Also Fef is going to be great, and I think that bit might be more of an individual character opinion thing, perhaps an interaction between a few if things go that way between characters uvu

Hmm. How'd you think he'd go mad? It's a really good idea, though, and I think you mentioned it before. I guess I neglected to address it, but yeah. The additional drama can't hurt. The circumstances are just so wonderfully chaotic and insane and huge. 

I'd volunteer to have Aradia hit with the gas a second time, but I don't have any good ideas for that at the moment.

And, I'm not sure... the only way Ican think of is the true-to-the-rp way that includes the removal of the bit in his brain that controls and censors his emotions. I imagine, however, that at this point Karkat would be feeling much less anger towards others, and much more towards himself.

Honestly, any kind of crazy could be interesting. Depending on the eventual dynamic of the group, Karkat will either go from mostly complacent, mute follower to attention demanding potential threat, or from voiceless voice of reason to mess of senseless confusion.

Aradia is more tricky, as there are a lot of ways to let her go crazy without any grace to speak of.

Honestly, I think it depends on how you play her. If you think she is truly emotionless, there would really be no point in her losing the ability to control emotions she doesn'thave, would there? But on the other hand, if you perceive her as simply ssuppressing emotions to the point where she no longer feels them, it could be fascinating and terrifying to see them surface in a way that not even she, who is so constantly in control, cannot control.

I was going to start her off as coming out of her apathy, with emotional suppression coming to an end as she's pushing herself to survive again. Maybe there's hope yet (but probably not)! So the reappearance of the gas could get to her and push her to this new extreme.

Plot-wise, though, I'm not sure how much this'd help. She's probably going to be pretty unstable, anyway (she's had a rough time), and your Karkat ideas are good. Self-hate is a transtimeline issue of the poor guy. The chemical-fueled version has lots of potential!

I'm thinking this AU will have plenty of insanity without too many characters getting affected by another bomb. Turmoil is inevitable! I guess it depends on how much we want.

I might just keep the idea as a kind of backup, in case things go dull or we don't know what to do.

Really I think what we need most is a kind of objective, an ultimate goal...

From what I have gathered, please correct me if I'm wrong, it seem that we now have ME, as in the user not me trying to talk about myself, playing Fef and Aradia. And then AF is playing Karkat and sorta kinda playing the Condy, that is what I'm referring to her as because I'm too lazy to type her entire name out.
I will gladly take on another canon if, as ME stated before, this topic is placed in the free canon section...
But only if you feel as if we don't have enough characters when the time comes for this to begin!
I'm sure that is enough of my rambling for now, sorry for putting everything in such a way that it drones on and on.

You can take another character if you want, but you don't have to. I just took Condy because we kind of need her and nobody has yet claimed her, so I feel like that's the logical thing to do. It'll also be her stuff that drives a lot of the plot.

If it's in the free canon section, I think I could find a canon I'm comfortable with.

If you'd like! c: It might make things a little more realistic to have an OC thrown in there for diversity's sake, but we may have to have them hanging out with a canon if they're gonna end up with Fef. Which they should be.

The canons are free in AUs, which is what this is.
Well, there may be a specific branch you have to go in. Either way, that is where the thing will go.
Which makes sense to me at least, because the only reason I could think that that rule would be in place is because the site seems to be encouraging a continuity in characters, so their stories have cohesiveness and they make sense when you put everything they are in together, so how could you have twenty different Karkats running around? When I role-played on Facebook we always had this same problem, because everyone tried to make their characters have one single timeline that everything contributed to. But it ultimately didn't work without a lot of blind eyes being turned, because you can't just have an overarching fandom rule that only one person gets to play this or that character. You also had the problem of where your character came from, which presents a huge problem in the Homestuck fandom, because the story isn't over yet. You don't know where your character's story starts because you don't know where the comic ends! That's why a lot of people started doing only AUs, because they're separate from the main timeline. You can do almost anything you want, and it makes sense. It doesn't mess up the overall story, and you can sail multiple ships, and you can add all of these cool new things, and have a ton of different people play one character, and you don't encounter any plot holes along the way. c:

ME (which conveniently refers to both the user and myself, seeing as the two are the same) is playing Aradia Megido and Feferi Peixes.
GnomeCat is playing Terezi Pyrope and possibly someone else.

We're beginning this with the Condesce's return. Mostly everyone is going crazy in some way. ActuallyFace's Just-In-Case Conveniently Stylish Hip Pouch (JICCSHP) also currently contains a bomb going off as a result of foot pressure. Feferi is going to eventually enact some kind of rebuilding-Alternia plan thing. We are in need of an ultimate goal.
