Pertaining to Character Development...

Anyone else find it hard to, on the spot, just come up with a character's backstory and personality and etc etc etc but then you just draw it out and it's just like "wow look at this kid he looks p cool and all"
Then you realize you don't know where to go with them from there regarding internal stuff.

Sorry if it sounds a bit like rambling nonsense... ''o

I always think that you're not supposed to know where your going with a roleplaying character. I mean a vague idea is good, but honestly the growth of a characters is dependent on shit they go through and who they go through it with.

Tbqh, homestuck especially is very vague about past. Like, yeah, if you wanna work that hard go for it, but basically... Just RP the character a bit like, spar almost, getting some experience with a character you understand basically is the best way to flesh them out- As long as you know how you think, anyone can work out how someone else thinks.
