[underworldstories] OC Creation Help
How to Assign Class and Aspect: A Canonical Chart for Reference;
BETA:
Prospit Active
Thief, Vriska
Knight, Karkat
Prospit Passive
Page, Tavros
Seer, Terezi
Sylph, Kanaya
Bard, Gamzee
Derse Active
Heir, Equius
Maid, Aradia
Witch, Feferi
Prince, Eridan
Derse Passive
Rogue, Nepeta
Mage, Sollux*
ALPHA:
Prospit Active
Heir, Mituna*
Maid, Porrim
Knight, Latula
Prince, Kurloz
Prospit Passive
Rogue, Rufioh
Seer, Kankri
Sylph, Aranea
Derse Active
Thief, Meenah
Witch, Damara
Derse Passive
Mage, Meulin
Bard, Cronus
Page, Horuss
- - -
As shown in the examples above, the Beta session has a formula of PA2 PP4, DA4 DP2. Sollux is placed in Derse, even though he has two dreamselves, to make the numbers line up.
Whereas in the Alpha session, the formula is PA4 PP3, DA2 DP3.
While assigning A and P to the different Classes, it should be kept in mind that Page and Mage are A/P respectively, making them good Classes to change the amount of Active and Passive players.
Canonically, there is a Hero of Time in every successful session, Thief is to Rogue as Bard is to Prince. The Witch class seems to have the most amount of matchups. The best formula would be as so:
A Thief
P Rogue
A Heir
A Maid
P Page
A Knight
P Seer
P Mage
P Sylph
A Witch
P Bard
A Prince
Time Derse
Space Prospit
Void Derse
Light Prospit(noncanonical)
Mind Prospit
Heart Derse
Rage Prospit
Hope Derse(noncanonical)
Doom Derse(noncanonical)
Life Derse(noncanonical)
Blood Prospit
Breath Prospit
If you get stuck deciding what your OC's godtier would be, use Aspect as an extent of their personality - Are they emotional, in charge, hopeful? You can match an Aspect to a Class afterwards, like an extent of it - An in charge Prince of Blood bringing about the breakdown of their team, An emotional Seer of Blood who can't accept what they forsee, etc.
Hussie has said that the system is supposed to have flexibility, and I would consider it to have a flexibly-rigid system, where the components can be moved like puzzle pieces. Combine Classes and Aspects and Moons to match your OC's self. These formulas are meant to provide "placeholders" for what players you'd need - like no two Time or Page players.
Hope it helps!
