You leave your room and head back downstairs, past the swords, and into the sitting room. Yep, just as you thought; the sword, and the shelf it had been under, were gone. Which meant that your brother was back. Which meant that you were probably gonna get Strifed soon. Fuck. You carefully make your way back upstairs, keeping watch for your brother.

You purchase with the small amount of grist allotted to you by the game a few large pieces of machinery, and place these in the various empty spaces you can find in this kid's house. One goes in the middle of his kitchen, one smashes his bed, and the other can only fit onto his roof.

You get back to your room just as your bed is crushed, and you flip the fuck out. You don't care so much about the bed as you do about the stuff that was under the bed; character sheets and tokens from your most memorable campaigns.

You quickly cross to your laptop and start typing.

You take a few deep breaths to calm down, then read over the instructions.

Before leaving the room you cross to the wall and take down the pair of swords there, assigning them to your Strife Modus. That done, you head back downstairs to the... what was it called again? A Crux-thingy? You examine it, and find a wheel on the side.

You attempt to do so, but find that it's being jammed by something, and no matter how hard you try you just can't turn it.

You run back upstairs to your laptop.

You place your laptop in your Sylladex and head back down, planning to attempt to slice through the lid of the crux-thingy. When you get there, however, you find that it's already been done, and a purple glowey ball is floating in the air beside it, with a purple cylinder protruding from the machine. Near the bottom you see a countdown that hadn't been there before; 4:13. That can't be good.

===>Get to other machine, quick
You grab the cylinder and run back upstairs, inserting it into the machine in your room, along with the card. You then take out your laptop as the dowel is being carved.

wS: What3v3r that thing was, it start3d a countdown.

You stare in wonder as a little ball of light floats out of the crux-thingy, but only for a moment. You are soon scouring google frantically for answers.

You pick up her couch and smack the cruxtruder machine with it opening it and activating some sort of countdown.

You add in as many useful items as you can think of to your syladex. the command modus is obviously superior to any other. you hook up your computers to a battery pack and get ready for the oncoming shitstorm from the girl in the ewok hat.

You do just that and begin thinking of the girl you just saw. She was marvelous. gorgeous. you felt a pang in your heart. it was strange. you could not let that weaken you. but she really was pretty. and feisty but in a nice way. and oh my god what are you doing?

You leave the computer, allowing BC to ponder the fuck, and grab two stuffed creatures before heading downstairs; one is a rabbit, and one a bear cub with a little ewok hat.

You stop and gaze at the ball of light in wonder for a moment before lobbing a rabbit at the light. It misses.

Panicking, you throw the bear at it instead, and this hits. An adorable-looking bear-ghost forms and growls at you in what you hope is affection.

Fuck.

You attempt to toss in a lizard off the mantle, and again, you miss. What the hell is wrong with you?!

You pick up another lizard, and, success! The cub is not a slightly grotesque-looking bear-lizard. You name him Reptobear.

You cast around, searching for something throw into the glowing purple ball, and your eyes come to rest on the small Umbreon plush that was lying beside the Lathe. Damn, you were glad that was okay. It had been a Christmas present from a friend, but what made it really special is that she made it herself. If that had been destroyed along with the bed, you really would have flipped your shit. You dart over to the plush, and throw it into the ball, creating Umbreonsprite. Next, you throw in your laptop, to create the Umbretopsprite. You grab your tablet and quickly place it in your Sylladex so you can keep in touch with the others, and take your carved totem from the Lathe.

Just outside your window is a ladder leading to the roof, and you quickly slip out the window and climb the ladder. You place the totem on the pedestal on the Alchmizer. On the platform a wall is created, with a window at the center.

You charge forward, and leap through the window, smashing the 'glass' in flash of purple light.

You manage to stop spacing out long enough to focus on the memo. Wow, you managed to miss quite a bit. Maybe you should start paying more attention to what's happening right now. Especially seeing as the last comments mentioned something about meteors, which are, you're fairly certain, pretty bad for your health.

Taking but a moment to consider how to talk once away from the PC, you quickly remember your neat little smartphone and snatch it up, turning the gadget on as you step away, switching on the Persterchum app. Thus prepared, you look around your jumble of a room for something appropriate.

You do so. You really wish your father had picked somewhere else to leave your deceased pets. Actually, you wish he hadn't had them stuffed and mounted at all, but there had to be some compromises. Though maybe picking a mongoose and a rattlesnake hadn't been the best of ideas for pets. Deciding quickly, you pull Whiskers the Mongoose down from the wall, going back to your PC and setting him down next to the keyboard.
