The party had been going for about an hour now and Ozeath still didn't quite know what he was doing there, it was at some high blood or another's seaside hive that he had been invited to for reasons unbeknownst to him. Ozeath came as he always took any excuse possible to get off his iceberg and out into the world, but he began to regret it now, hardly knowing anyone here and not quite knowing what to do or how to handle himself. Staidness against a wall awkwardly and drinking punch seemed like the way to go. His height allowed him to watch the entire room, which was almost as big as one of those old time ballrooms, and he could see that there was a whole lot of dancing and talking going on. A whole lot of dancing and talking that he really didn't know how to interject himself into.

Eh. Could be worse. Could be...drowning? Yeah, drowning is worse than awkward parties. That works. He decided to just stand there and wait until...something happened. To think he had gotten all dressed up for this, too. Eh, it'd be over soon enough - a quick check at his watch showed that soon was actually several hours. Fancy that.

Medone had been socializing during the party like she always does until she saw what she called a wallflower. A male troll stood there not even five feet from her and she pouted. This guy needed to have fun and talk to someone, anyone really. She thought about until she nodded and decided that person would be her. Medone looked down at her romper fixed it and then headed over to the male. "And who might you be?"

Ozeath was surprised that someone actually approached him, he had just kind of been content to stand there and let the clock tick. "Oh! Hey, uh, I'm Ozeath." He said, tugging at his suit nervously. He hadn't done much face to face talking lately so the big guy was rather out of practice. "And uh, who're you? This is a swingin' party, right?" He asked, taking a quick swig of his drink to cover a nervous gulp. "I mean, I don't go to a bunch of them, so I don't exactly have an expansive experience with them, but, uh..." Oh, shit, rambling. Better cut that out, cool guys don't ramble. "This one seems pretty swingin'."

She nodded and smiled at him it was easy for her to see his nervousness. "It is a really nice party. I enjoy many things about it." She looks around before whispering to him. "The only thing I don't like are the fish meals. Ew." She giggles and retracts herself back into a standing position. "My experience with this hive is little to known I prefer the ones set by the more classically refined trolls, mainly because they aren't too crowded and the hosts actually get to know you better." Medone made a face of rather anger at herself. "Sorry! My name is Medone, gosh sometimes I get so carried away I don't remember some of the things that people ask me."

The joke was a small thing, but it was enough to bring him out of his shell a bit. "Heh! Yeah, a bit of a poor meal choice there, huh? Given the guest list and all that." He tried to respond like any normal relaxed party-goer would. "Classically refined? I've never been to one of those before. They sound pretty fancy...Oh! It's a pleasure to meet you, Medone, I'm Ozeat-shit, said that already. I know what that's like, sometimes I just totally forget what I said and what I haven't." He said, trying to become properly engaged in the conversation like the socialite he wanted to be. This gal seemed like one of those, maybe he could learn from her?

She giggled as he commented on her joke. "I mean really take into consideration at least me!" Her fins wiggled a bit as she pouted. "The classically refined ones are always so much fun! Maybe I should invite you with me sometime. I'm always allowed a plus one but no one ever wants to go with me!" Once again her fins wiggled but then fell a bit looking like they were moping.

He couldn't help but grin, "Hehe, how could they? I know I would!" He said, voice seeming louder and more cheerful now. He felt far more at ease now, due to the initiative and friendliness she was displaying. Perhaps next time he'd have more immediate enjoyment at a party if he showed similar qualities? He'd have to attend another party, hopefully with her, to really figure out how this whole thing worked. "Oh wow, you'd do that for me? That's awesome." He beamed, his grin growing even wider. Aw, no one ever went with her? That's weird. "Why wouldn't they go with you? You seem pretty nice to me." He shrugged, not worrying about it any longer

"Oh, so, I notice that not many others are wearing an, uh, suit. Was I not supposed to get a tuxedo for this?" He asked, tugging at the frankly very large amount of fabric. He had to sew two different suits together to really make it fit, and frankly he painted one of them black to compensate.

Medone smiled happily and that was emphasised by her giddy laughter and slight bounciness. "Oh good, good. Perhaps we should have a party at your hive I bet it would be the best!" She clapped her hands together as she decided it would happen.

"Well you see I am of course a high seadweller and most people freak out a bit not to forget that I am what some people call 'clingy' don't know why though..." She's lying and she knows why but let's not mention that.

"Odd. I mean a lot of trolls don't if they aren't rich enough. Seems like the wealthy like classier stuff, I've seen a few lowbloods wear them but mainly because their dates got them some." She smiled and looked at his it seemed okay to her, yet again she never judged anyone on how they dressed after all.

"My hive? Well, uh, sure, we can see about hosting a party there! It's kind of remote though,  so it'd have to be a pretty long party for it to be worth it, I guess! I'd need help planning it though, hardly know how to act at one of these, let alone host one." He began to bounce a bit on his heels, a sudden excitement overtaking him. Was this what making friends in person felt like? This was awesome! He tested the waters by bringing up one of his hands for a high-five with the significantly shorter seadweller...wait...

Oh crap. He was an idiot.

She was a Fuchsia blood. Ozeath didn't know if he was supposed to bow or what. His smile was strained for a few seconds while he debated what to do in his head...but she wasn't looking at him like he was doing something wrong, so maybe he wasn't supposed to acknowledge it? Aw well, he'd just roll with it, so far things were going great! He was partying with an heiress! His smile returned, jollier than before.

"Clingy? Huh, sounds mean. Dunno what would make them think that." Poor, ignorant Ozeath said, patting her on the shoulder lightly. "You just seem friendly to me." He let out a sigh of relief that an heiress thought his outfit was passable, his shoulders visibly lowering in relief. "Honestly I kind of, uh, stitched it together. It's hard to find clothes in my size."

"Oh please! The longer trips are what  makes it so worth it! You don't have to worry, I can always help. My lusus loves making things fancy so we can always bring her along!" She high-fives him and holds his hand before squeezing it. She let's go and gives him a large ass smile.

"Oh I know that some fancy clothes are to find in such large sizes my friend has so much trouble all the time because she's heavy set. Poor girl." Medone leans against the wall next to him. "What's your lusus like?"

Ozeath blushed for some inexplicable reason when she held his hand and squeezed, squeezing back in that second due to having no other idea of how to respond. She was being friendly, it'd be rude not to return the favor! This is how friendships were formed. Did all friendships make your pumpbiscuit beat that fast?

Lets say yes.

He smiled back at her, blushing blue. "Oh wow, heh, that sounds fantastic actually, I'd get to show you around the Iceberg, too. They're are lots of beautiful sights to see! Sometimes the sky is filled with all the colors of the hemospectrum, it's beautiful. Though, uh, you should bring some heavy clothing. It gets really cold down there." He blushed harder, rubbing the back of his neck and looking away. Why was he getting flustered now? Don't shy away from friendship now, you big oaf! He leaned over towards her a little, which was very obvious given his height, and thought about what she said. "It'd be nice to wear some finery that actually fit properly! I hear anyone looks better in a suit or dress." At the reference to her friends size, he examined Medone's build, furrowing his brow in purely academic study.

His face was always that blue, shut up.

"My lusus? Oh, well. He's a little guy, but he's even stronger than me. Squawks a lot and usually just yells at me. He means well though, even if he is a bit overprotective. He said I'd run into trouble if I go to this party." He chuckled softly at remember how he had been thrown out the window by his lusus after putting up enough of an argument to make the little waddlebeast give up. "He is the alpha of his Waddle, so that means there are a bunch of lesser waddlebeasts...waddling around I guess, doing little chores and living in the walls. They're cute guys." He didn't mention they were the only constant friends he had, living as secluded as he is.

"What about yours? She seems nice, has to be to raise a cool cat like you!"

Medone's fins wiggled when she felt him squeeze her hand back, he either had no idea what she was getting at or he knew and he felt the same. A small sparkle showed in her eyes as she listen to him speak. "Really? All the colors? That sounds wonderous!" After she said that she began to pout, "Man now I wish I lived there, it sounds amazing..." But soon enough her perky smile was plastered on her face. "I really would love to go, just gotta get the right clothes now~"

She pushed herself from the wall to be standing in front of him once more. His voice was manly and that she could tell but it was nice enough for her ears that it relaxed her. If only he had listened to his lusus he wouldn't be on her radar. "My lusus...She's a giant pearl maker! It is the best thing in the world. I actually live inside of her, and she is massive. She's so big I can fit my entire hive inside her!"

"Oh, heh, well, I'm not sure you'd want that. It is nice, but it is very lonely that far south." He admitted, keeping the smile up though it is clearly strained now. He was glad she seemed so happy, though. He must be doing great! "I'd love for you to visit, I'm sure we can get some snow clothes ready for you, cover up your fins and everything. I might have some old stuff you can use, though, uh, it'd be a bit big on you." He admitted, frowning and rubbing the back of his head. His eyes darted to the left, thinking about that now and trying not to glance back down at her body. He did anyway.

He had no idea what he got himself into.

"Wait, what?" He asked in genuine confusion. He expected his lusus to be the weird one, but that sounded...well, kind of insane. Though to be fair she was the top one percent of trolls, so I guess that kind of stuff was normal for them? "This I gotta see, dude." He admitted, an adventurous gleam in his eye.

"Don't worry about my clothes! I'll be fine, mainly because I am a seadweller." She smiled thought about if she should touch him, in a totally non-sexual away and she decided a poke to the cheek would do well enough. So when he bent down she poked his cheek before speaking about Her lusus. "It is actually quite funny you would say that because you would probably drown if you ever met her. I mean she sure does live deep in the water." She tapped her chin with her finger before intejecting a thought. "She is able to drain the water from herself so you would only have to hold your breath."

"Oh! Uh, why is that? Are seadwellers just naturally resistant to that stuf-" He was cut off when she just poked him, giving a high grunt of confusion at the gesture. He smiled, laughing it off and poking her in the forehead and letting that be that. He didn't look nearly as deep into the gesture as he should've, a testament to his general naivety. His smile died when his fear of the ocean was invoked. Well, less the ocean he guessed, and more the whole drowning bit. That was what really got him. "Well, uh, we can get a diving suit I guess, and you can just sort of guide me the way down there?" He suggested, wanting to see this thing more than ever now, despite his discomfort with the deep sea. If he was in a diving suit, he couldn't drown, right? Especially with an heiress guiding him down and keeping him away from all the sea monsters he'd be unable to fight properly?

Unless she was going to feed him to one? No, no, he had to trust her, that was the basis of friendship according to the trollipedia on the topic. Still, a new undertone of worry colored his eyes to make his discomfort obvious to those looking.

"No. Hehehe we aren't immune but I have plenty of cha-ching to cover it." She blushed when he poked her back. Medone could understand his panic and nodded. "A diving suit would be most useful. Okay, it's settled! We will get you a diving suit and you shall come join me at my hive." And by this of course she meant never leave.
