Appearance:

Meaning: Shield

Role: One who defends others with aspect / One who Defends aspect from others

Main Power Type: The Aegis, like the knight, uses their aspect to accomplish their mission. However, instead of using it to attack, they use it to defend.

An Aegis of Space would create massive barriers and walls to defend his/her allies from damage, while also using their aspect to stop those who would destroy their aspect.

An Aegis of time would manipulate time so that allies would be out of harms way, and also manipulating events so future events remain undisturbed.

An Aegis of Doom would use doom to defend their allies or doom the plans of their enemies, and/or stopping those who would stop doom from occurring.

An Aegis of Rage would become the epitimy of a tank, throwing themselves into the fray to take all the hits they could and hold off their enemies so their allies can win the day.

Story Role: An Aegis will become the armor and shield of the party, taking on the role as the damage sponge so that the weaker players can grow in power. They might start powerful, but they grow much slower and only ever remain effective at stopping or soaking up damage. They will go as far as even sacrificing their own lives in the end, showing how far they have come and just what they can do to save the team.

Challenge: Those given the roll of an Aegis are those who lack protective instincts, or those who were never defended themselves in their life.
