Generic Highschool RP (Open to All)

Classes had just started and people were already running about and screaming with happiness. Auriel was one of those people. She loved Gym class. Though she wasn't fast or strong it still gave her hope to do something she enjoyed. She kept running pushing herself only to face plant into the ground. She just lied there laughing her face off. She was so happy even though her face was sore.

Dave was only slightly aware as he lingered between awake and asleep that this was the first day of classes. His second semester at this stupid private school was going to be starting in the next couple hours. At least, he was pretty damn sure it was still another couple hours. He rolled and stretched a little.

“I was really starting to think you weren’t going to be waking up this morning.” A familiar voice said from the other side of the room.

“Screw off.”

“We need to be at school in an hour. Ms. Lalonde will be here to pick us up in twenty minutes.”

Dave was out of bed in a couple seconds muttering under his breath how much he hated Dirk and how much he hated school, and mornings, and life in general.

Even now, months after starting at this school Dave can’t get over the fact that he’s going to a private school. That the Lalonde’s talked Bro into letting both Dave and Dirk go. And wow, neither of them were expecting Bro to even rent a shitty little bachelor pad in New York over the summer for the two young Striders’ (less shocking was the fact that he made the two of them pay for about 50% of everything: rent, food, phone and internet…).

That didn’t matter anymore though, their contract on the apartment was over in a two weeks and they would have to have everything in their dorm(s) at the school.

Bro was probably just happy to not have to deal with the two teenagers every day anymore. Plus education. Education was pretty cool too.

Dave got himself dressed and cleaned himself up a little bit. When he stepped out of the bathroom, pushing his shades up the bridge of his nose, Dirk had put out a plate on their tiny little table with a full ass breakfast set out.

“How long have you even been up?”

Dirk didn’t answer he just continued to eat. Dave shrugged it off as well.

As he was finishing up his food there was a rap on the door and Dirk was up on his feet. With his bag slung over his shoulder he opened the door. Mom Lalonde stood on the other side of the threshold waving good morning to the two boys.

Dave tossed his now empty plate into the sink. He grabbed his bag and stuffed his feet into his shoes as best he could before locking the door and following the other two blondes down the stairs and outside into the car. The Lalonde girls were in the car and both said their good mornings to the Striders’ as they sat themselves in the back of the car, in the minimal room that was left for the two of them. And all cramped up together in the back seat they began their half hour drive to the school in the middle of nowhere.


Dave practically fell out of the car as they arrived at the school. Dirk shook his head as he stepped out and adjusted his glasses and then his bag on his shoulder. He didn’t really like how familiar this place was even after two months away. He shook his head and let out a small smile as he and Dave headed up towards the school. The Lalonde’s following a few feet back and eventually going their own way.

A couple weeks ago their schedules had been mailed to their apartment along with a list of the things they would need for the year. He and his brother had gym first thing in the morning. Which was fine by both of them really. And they also really didn’t mind getting right to it on the first day of classes without even bothering to find out where they’re dorming. Not that they brought much stuff with them anyways.

Dirk readjusted the strap of his painfully light bag as he and Dave headed towards the gym.

On their way there the bell rang and they noticed their coach motioning the boys and girls into their respective changing rooms. He nodded to Dirk and Dave as they stepped into the boys change room.

The two boys wasted no time getting into the regulation gym uniform they had been given last year and heading back out in the gym, not even bothering to look around at the other people who would be sharing the gym with them. It wasn’t like they cared either way. The gym was their domain as far as either of them were concerned they would be the only ones who mattered in the room.

Practically on instinct the two teens began to stretch and limber up. And started to run laps without having to be told. This sort of thing had been part of their morning routine since they were still toddlers and that wasn’t going to stop anytime soon. The teacher eventually had every grade 11 who left the change rooms jogging around the gym as well. Everyone simply following the lead of the Strider’s.

Dirk matched Dave stride for stride. It was a little bit annoying and maybe a little unnerving to other people how perfectly in-sync their steps were as they ran around the gym. Dirk broke the sync by picking up his pace and lengthening his stride the couple inches he could.

He felt Dave’s eyes settling on him in a glare which read ‘Not a goddamn chance, bro.’ and he sped up his pace as well, just barely managing to pull out in front of Dirk.

Within moments they were both full on sprinting. Dirk was faster, there was no denying it but Dave was going to try his damn hardest to end this in front of Dirk. And for a short while Dirk thought he was going to manage just that.

Dirk took one last burst of speed to launch himself in front of Dave in the blink of an eye and he was rather… satisfied when Dave didn’t pass him. He looked over his shoulder and noticed Dave was no longer running. The other Strider was on his ass a few feet back being stared down by very tall stranger. Dirk slowed to a stop and backtracked to help Dave to his feet.

The two Striders’ glared up at the, clearly, older stranger before heading back to where the rest of their class was gathering for the real beginning of class.

“Thank you to the Striders’ for starting your warm up. Now how about we cool down with a few introductions…” The teacher said.

Dirk noticed that Dave’s eyes did not leave the stranger that knocked him over even as he disappeared into the change room. The guy had looked far too old to be in the eleventh grade. Dave probably hadn’t noticed that they were sharing the gym with another class. Hopefully there wouldn’t be to many more run ins today.

When Auriel finally picked herself up she saw everyone was gone and she started to panic. She was really knee-high in shit now. If the gym teacher had found her being lazy and on the floor. She would get her ass handed to her. So she looked around. When everyone did come back in she smiled. At least they hadn't left to go outside. That was good. She was relieved. When she saw others she began to walk into the middle just not seeming to care. Auriel stood next to two blonde boys. She could tell that the teacher talked to them. Their last names were Strider. Where had she heard that? She couldn't remember though that didn't matter. She just smiled.

Sollux sighs and looks up at the clock on the wall. He was late and that wasn't new to him, but it was only because of small problems like the nagging he gets from his mom when she calls him every single day. At least this was a little normal, considering his mother had contacted every one of his teachers just to tell them that he may be late to some classes.

Sollux quickly gets to his locker and dashes down the halls towards his tech class. Even though class had already started, the teacher hadn't exactly come in yet, so that meant he could do whatever from the time he had sat down and until the teacher comes inside. He didn't have much to do so he decided to start his coding now so he could finish early. Since in this class you were required to keep your laptop with you at all times school is in session, he tends to finish things early. He takes out his laptop and begins to type up the codes they had been learning and labeled them as he went. He heard laughing and name calling behind him, which also wasn't very new. He knew that this was going to be a long day.

Phobos had been busy the night before, trying to finish a book he bought earlier. He didn't want to wake up and go to school, but it was a requirement for him to be allowed to stay in this country. His heritage was known by most at this school, so he didn't have to worry about being bullied. He wouldn't be bullied even if his family was terrifying, since he was rich. He could be popular, if he actually cared about that kind of stuff. He only wanted to go to school, so he could experience having friends and or other normal things.

He heard his alarm ringing, so he awoke and prepared to hit the alarm. He hated the loud noise it made, but he knew that this alarm was probably the only thing that could wake him up. He hated mornings, since he was always tired and he could barely get anything done. He automatically went to take a shower, since he had been accustomed to doing things like this.

Phobos was used to going to private schools, so it wasn't strange for him to be here. His family could easily get him into the school, but his family never revealed how they managed to get him in. He quite frankly didn't care to know, since it would be better for him not to. He quickly took a shower and got dressed. He didn't really bother reading the dress code, since he usually wore acceptable attire. He didn't care much for fashion, since hardly anyone would dare bother him about it. He brushed his teeth and took care of morning hygeine. He was still a bit tired, but he could easily break out of this tiredness and run if he had to.

He went into the kitchen and ate a simple breakfast, pertaining of bacon and eggs. He didn't bother with eating food his parents would find delicious, since this was only breakfast. He grabbed the keys to his home, the temporary one. His family owned a simple little home near the school, so he could stay there. He planned on moving into the dorms, since it was boring living by himself. He had an expensive car, but it wasn't "Cool". He didn't care for looking good, so he simply bought a good and effecient car. He had gotten his permit a week ago, so he was able to legally drive. However, he didn't need to drive to school, since he lived near the school.

He cleaned up after himself and left the house, locking the door after he was outside. He ran the two mile distance separating his house from the school, since he wouldn't have to after he got a dorm in the school. He wondered where the school was located, but it didn't bother him enough for to ask anyone. Not that he could ask anyone. He arrived at the school shortly after the Strider brothers did. He was a bit tired, but he still had a lot of energy in him. He had almost forgotten his bag at home, but he managed to grab it at the last second. He had picked up his schedule when he first came to the school, and it didn't change much. He had 12th grade Technology as his first class, so he didn't have to worry about not knowing things. He didn't enjoy Technology, but he didn't hate it. The class was better than many alternatives, so he felt fine with this class.

He entered the room which held the 12th grade Technology class and prepared to do the class's work. Phobos guessed that his name was a good name, since a lot of students feared his family. He wanted to skip to his second class, but he couldn't make time go faster. He had a laptop with him at all times, and he usually used it for chatting or simple things like that.

Tonian couldn’t stand it here. He had been transferred to this damn school after being expelled from his last school in the later part of his Grade 12 year. He was already far too old to still be in high school yet… here he was. Again. He could only be glad that he didn’t have to put up with the bullshit courses he would have had to take at any other school he would have gone to. The wide range of courses available made his parents think ‘Maybe this will finally make him do his work.’ Screw that. They should know better by now.

After being escorted to the office and getting his dorm room key he started his trek towards the gymnasium where he had his first class. A grade 12 weight training and muscle building class. It was similar to what he did at military school, from what he had been told. And that had been the only thing he had liked of his military training, so of course, it was the only thing he didn’t hesitate in taking when he signed up at this school.

He ended up distracted and on the other side of the campus without really knowing how he got over there. He cursed to himself as he tried to right himself. It wasn’t really any use though. Recognizing the fact that he was by the Derse Dormitory he took his bags into his new room and then promptly sat down on what he deemed to be his bed. He pitied the poor bastard that had to share a dorm room with him. This would be the hardest year of their high school life, and it wasn’t like he was going to try to make it any better. Hell, he wanted to make it as miserable as possible for the poor sap.

After the bell had rung he finally decided that, maybe just for the first day, he should go to class. He knew how to navigate to the gym from the dorms so he did eventually get there. Even if it was a little bit late. Walking in he noted a younger grade running laps. He paused in his walking to watch as one of them run by him. Just as another ran into him and fell backwards on his ass. Tonian glared down at the scrawny looking blond boy. He was wearing the most ridiculous sunglasses.

“Idiot.” Tonian hissed under his breath, before heading towards the change room. He ignored the glare he could feel boring into his back. It was far too early to have to deal with kids like that. If the kid couldn’t deal with it, who needed him, he was worthless and he would amount to nothing.

His class was on the opposite side of the large gymnasium and were currently warming up. Sit-ups, crunches, lunges, push-ups. All the little things he actually enjoyed doing. And he was glad to see that this coach would be working them hard from the get go. He didn’t need to worry about this being easy. He could push himself to his limit and then further and no one would bother to question him.


Dave couldn’t believe the nerve of the tall freak. Who the hell just stands in the way of someone like that? And then takes that damn long to realize he just stopped them dead in their tracks. Jesus dicks, talk about slow. Dave was almost offended at how slow that guy was on the pick-up. Seriously done with everything and the day had just begun.

After Dirk helped him to his feet. Though Dave would blissfully refuse to let Dirk take this as a win, ‘cause shit wasn’t fair, he was willing to drop it for now to get on with the class. The teacher had them all standing in a big circle and having everyone introduce themselves. Eventually getting to Dave himself.

“I’m Dave Strider. Sup.”

“Alright, Dave. Thank you.”

The teacher totally wanted the D. This was a straight up fact. Who the hell thanked their students for saying pretty much nothing to the class for an introduction when everyone else had said their greetings and then went on to describe why they were in the class.

He could not comprehend in the slightest what Dirk found so funny about the teacher’s response. But there was still that damn stupid little smirk in the corner of his mouth like he knew something that Dave just hadn’t clued in on. Dave hated that smirk so much. He rolled his eyes and pushed his shades up the bridge of his nose and looked around the room a little bit, just sort of taking it all in.

“I’m Dirk Strider. Gym is… sort of our thing.” The taller of the two twins said running his fingers through the goofy ass, spiky anime hair of his; accompanied by an adjustment of the shades, of course.

Dave’s eyes rested on the weight training class on the other side of the gym. That slow jerk from mere minutes ago was over there. Wow… he worked pretty hard. Even just watching the group do push-ups he could sense that one guy’s strength more than anything else. He effortlessly did triangle push-ups. Dave couldn’t do that many of them for the life of him. The whole strength thing was Dirk’s forte. Speed and strength were Dirk’s thing… Dave’s were stamina and flexibility. Which was fine and all… but it sort of made one upping the other Strider a little bit harder.

In the moments he had been staring at the other man on the other side of the gym he had forgotten that others were introducing themselves and quickly turned back to the class and tuned in to the girl who was now up to speak. He was pretty sure he had seen her face plant earlier. He wasn’t really sure. He had been a little bit preoccupied.

Sollux just sat there typing away. He was working so hard he hadn't noticed his own teacher come in. He never really liked the teachers at any school he had been in because they'd make some shitty remark about his eyes and how he wasn't at some sort of movie. He actually got so pissed once that he had punched a teacher, leaving him suspended. But to him, that was the past and that was final. Having been at this school for the last part of last school year he had practiced his coding and design skills by a lot.

Class had just started and he had almost finished the assignment on the board in which his case was super easy. The teacher had called him up and looked him up and down. Carefully the teacher tilted the younger boy's glasses down to see his eyes. He nods and sent him back to his seat, completely confused. The teacher may have understood his situation but everyone else shunned him for it. It wasn't like he chose to look like this.

"Sollux Captor, are you done with the assignment?" The teacher asks.

"Yes I am." Sollux lisps back.

There was laughing as background noise. That to him never meant a good thing. He just wanted to go over there, not caring even if it were to be a girl and clock them in the jaw. His anger hung around him in the air but then went down after the girls were told they had detention. He smiled inside. He knew that meant the teacher cared.

"Oh I have almost forgotten, my name is Mr. Feilds and I will be your teacher this year. Any questions and comments shall be taken at the end of class. Let's get started now."

Sollux nodded and looked up at the board. He began writing neatly formed letters and numbers into a code form. Sollux then became confused. Wasn't he supposed to tell us what we were going to do first? He put that thought aside and began to type out the code on a new page.

"We will be coding our own websites. By the end of the next three classes you should have a layout and everything set up. I will write some code combos that you will be able to expiriment with. Sollux, from what I have seen you may go ahead and start. Go to the following site and begin. The rest of you, listen up. The teacher says.

Sollux nods and goes to the site listed on the board. He looks at the blank page he can begin with. He knew this stuff and it came to him easily so he knew he would be done in no time. He begins to type up the basic layout and hex codes to use for color. He inserts links for backgrounds so he can choose pictures from online to use. He was having a blast.

"I'm Auriel Cordis and I'm taking Gym because I can do flips and back bends around most of your lazy asses." Auriel laughed. Her intro was as original as it was going to get. She really didn't have to worry about anyone bothering her. She was just the way she was. No matter how many times they would they send her to office would she give up her goofy and sassy charm. Though she hid most of her classiness under her hyper emotions. Most of the kids laughed and her when she smiled. It didn't bother her because she knew mainly everyone in the class, so if they needed to be beat up she would get them their ass handed to them. Not by her of course but she had her ways.

She fixed the collar of her shirt and smiled at her rubber-band bracelets. Her made faces when the teacher turned his back. She didn't really care but it made others laughed. After she was done she looked around the large gym. She knew every team that this school had played. She could name them forward and backward without screwing up. She was on the gymnastics squad and she knew she could beat everyone on the uneven bars or balance beam. Though she would never brag about it like her roommate did about her swimming or dancing. It bothered her really, she smiled at Dirk and made a peace sign.
