Your Eternals stands over their people, their shadow eclipsing the sun behind them as they stare into the eyes of each and everyone of their peoples faces. They were few, and their future would be hard, but the gods had placed them there for a reason. The Eternals had forgotten the names and forms of the gods, only knowing that they had chosen them to lead their people out of the dirt and mud and into the golden light of civilization. Given might and intelligence beyond that of their mortal race, it falls on them to guide their united kind into the future, and to survive the trials and tests of time that will no doubt put strain on them no mortal could stand against.

Your People look to their Eternals for guidance, guide them and survive the tests of time or be forgotten in the pages of history

Quick rules:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
YUMMI:
Grass. Nothing but grass as far as the eye could see. To the north, Grass that stretched for miles, a forest on the faintly seen near the horizon, roughly a day away if one walked. To the west. even more grass, with no end in sight. It was only when ones self looked south or east did the terrain change, a vast Grassland spread out to cover the southern and eastern horizon past the the area surrounding the Yummi village. The Grassland Bordered the candied terrain, as if the terrain was fighting a never ending struggle against the sweet turf that had engulfed what was once lush grass. The Grassland differed from the terrain to the north and west, by the much taller and weed like grass, which seemed to reach up to ones knees or even waist. This terrain went on for miles, though to the south it was quickly met by mountains. The Mountains stood only a twelve hour walk away, so their image was always within Yummi eyes.
The Yummi village was small, only a small package of Yummi's with a large bon fire in the center of the camp. There were some old logs placed randomly for sitting, but they were to few to make any form of shelter, even if any of the Gummies knew how to even accomplish such a task. Luckily, the weather was nice and cool, with the smell of salt in the air mixing with the many sweet scents given off by the yummified terrain the Yummis now stood upon.
The history of the Yummi's starts here, and they are ready for their first passage to start.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

DREADION:

Trees. That is what met the eyes of Zadkiel when he looked past the Dreadions that had elected him as what they called "Lord Regent of the House of Mercy". The Words may have been new to the race, but they held the power within them that was now Zadkiel's to command. And the Trees around the simple camp the Dreadions called home were witnesses to this power. The wind made the Trees shudder, as if to help them physically manifest a reaction to the first Lord of the Dreadion people.

To the North, trees continued on for nearly half a days walk before [@#$%##@$^%] prevented any and all progress further. To the west, on the edge of the area around the camp, was a vast desert that went on to the horizon. the heat and sand that blew from it was cause for complaints by some Dreadions. To the East and South however, was a forest for as far as the eye could see. No one had explored the area around the camp, and thus knew not what lay beyond what one could see at the camp.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ROMANI:
Hills and Trees were the terrain that the Romani knew, and the only terrain they knew. in all direction, trees and hills dominated the landscape. The only break from this visual was a slight line of what appeared to be grasslands to the north of the Romani camp. However a lack of scouting prevented anymore information from being used to determine what lay around them.
The Romani sat in their camp, the center dominated by the Mud pool that they all emerged from and was tended to by the Praetors. There were five Praetors, all of which had raised the Romani population to their adult hood. Off to the side, around 10 feet, was a bonfire and fallen logs that served as a meeting area.
Right now, the Romani stood where they were, no idea where to begin the day or what to do with their time as no orders had been given to them. The Romani Eternal was needed, and likely answer the call.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

SPOOKS:

On the coast of a seemingly endless field of snow and ice, the Spooks camped. To their north and west, water could be seen. The west held an endless ocean, while the north held what appeared to be an entirely new landscape upon it's horizon. However, to the south and east, only snow and ice met the Spooks eyes. The Spooks hardy nature kept them strong, and the scarcity of food held little sway over their hungerless bodies, however the cold was still biting. It loomed over the Spooks waiting to snatch up the weak should they fall.

However, a Roaring flame that used the bonfire pit as its home exuded massive heat that fought away the frozen claws of the tundra valiantly. However, the Fire would eventually die, and the Spooks without their savior. the Eternal must act, or else face the deaths.

Spooks :

With impressive leadership, the kind yet to have been seen by any mortal in the world, Zadkiel was able to invent the first technology of Dreadion culture: Division of Labor. With this technology, the Dreadions have maximized the hours of the day, using their numbers to more effectively accomplish their mission of survival.

Group #1's hunters were quite successful in their day of hunting, each member bringing food back thanks to the large amount of life within the forest. They avoided any large animals they saw, and kept to the smaller animals due to it being safer then handling more dangerous beasts. The hunters bring back a total of ten units of food, raising the stores from 40 units to 50 units of food. The Gatherers were not quite as effective, due to not possessing knowledge of what was safe to eat or and what wasn't, however they managed to collect eggs they found in the trees and also found what they think is fruit. The possibly edible item is around the size of a fist, and is pure white with red specks on it's skin. It's in the shape of a reverse tear drop, with the heavy end on the top where the stem would hold it, and the thinner point pointing to the ground. The Gatherers add 5 units of food to the supply with the eggs they find, and the fruit is kept separate from the food supply. They also manage to bring sticks and dead leaves to fuel the fire.

The Animals the Hunters killed were three different species. One was a brown and golden furred rodent that hid in shallow burrows throughout the forest. Another was a swine like creature, with small nubby tusks and a large fan like tail it seemed to raise to try and intimidate predators. The last one was a blue feathered bird with a third eye on the center of its head.

Group #2's Saw nothing but animals briefly nearing the camp before leaving back into the forest. They took note of what sort of animals came near, but they only saw a couple or cared to remember a few. One of note was a large creature, with brown and green fur that was roughly half the height of the average Dreadion. However it left before any particular detail could be noted.

Group #2.5's sleeping went undisturbed, though some people in the camp spoke rather harshly of the group, calling them lazy and grumbling about how they slept while the other groups worked.

Group #3's scouting mission sent them most of the way to the [@#$%##@$^%] before they had to turn back in order to make it back by the time Zadkiel had wanted them to. From their scouting, they reported the forest went undisturbed for quite a way, however as they grew closer to the [@#$%##@$^%], larger and larger pieces of [*%%#$^] were found. They also discovered that they could speak of what they found without hearing the words as a gargled unnatural noise. They believe the [@#$%##@$^%] is cursed. Instead of studying what the found that they could not speak of, the explored else where and found a small clearing filled with small holes that lead into the earth. The made sure to remember where it was before heading back.

Group #4's experiments came back with one definite fact. Stones could not be broken by sticks, but stones could break other sticks and stone. They also discovered that they could chip slowly away at a tree. They believe that the reason trees fall is that rocks fall from the sky and hit them, and they eventually fall down because of that.

Group #2.5 wakes up and guards for the whole night, calming people's irritation as they see the group take the night watch and guard them as they rest after a long day.

Morning Action:
The older Romanii convene and discuss the day's activities and have voted the first consul: a male by the name of Tiberius who was blessed by the gods. Thus, the first Senate was created. The Senate and the consul decide the first action is to build their first farm, then start a lumber gathering, and finally finding some animals to hunt. Tiberius then convenes with the Senate about the process of making their first temple.
Tiberius gets on with hs speech, trying to persuade Senate members that a temple is necessary as the gods had been very grumpy lately. He goes on and on about it until the Senate finally gave in. He had also been trying to teach some of his fellowmen some tricks to getting food, but it seems that they have yet to be disciplined. Now that's a nice idea... discipline training.

A SWEET BEGINNING

The Yummi race have reverted to a more base form after a series of catastrophes have diminished their population and most traits that separate them. a once vibrant race must redo several generations of controlled genetic tampering, starting with rigid and hard bodies that were more resistant to the destruction of rain.
They gather in a circle around the biggest, strongest, and most importantly vibrantly coloured yummi, David Bowwi. Perhaps they just came to oogle at his many colourful stripes, or saw the markings of leadership in this mutant among single colour yummis, either way they were willing to make him happy. He suggests that they should probably get to making some sugar cane farms, and the people rejoiced at the chance to make the pretty one happy. They called him a chieftain, and gave him the title "Chief David Bowwi of the rain". he later suggests that they gather some high grass from the surrounding area to make some barrier from the sky to make sure they don't all die in the next storm. they would probably think that this is a wonderful idea.
The yummi language is primitive at the moment, and sounds as if a Canadian was speaking a form of English through a mouthful of molasses, but one of their first clearly spoken words invented is "rainbow", meaning hope and beauty after disaster, a shortening of an affectionate name for their leader.
in other news, some of them bullied a yummi with jagged large teeth, and called him toothy which came out sounding much like "tuffy." he is an eternal, and has his feelings very hurt.

actions:
they remember their food and the basis of their bodies, and thus remember their source, sugar cane or the meat of a wild droop. the first order of business is to gather some sugar cores from wild sugar canes and till the land.
The whole day will be devoted to preparing a farm, gathering wild plants for the seeds along with sustenance, and planting, getting as much as can be done.

ROMANI

The Romani spend the morning trying to fulfill the orders of creating a farm, however only spend that time designating an area near the camp where they think farming would be a good idea. They lacked seeds to start the farm. However, due to the whole population working upon this one project, the farm is rather large, and some had the bright idea to bring rocks to form a half foot tall rock and wood mound around the farm, protecting it from the the wind.

The next task, gathering lumber, proved difficult. While the Praetors were able to to push or break down some trees, the rest spent the day trying their best but only achieving in breaking a few branches. The Praetors bring back ten fallen trees and the people bring back enough tinder for the bonfire to cease worrying about it for what may be the foreseeable future.

The hunting goes about the same, the Romani having no plan going in and simply scattering around lead them to bumble and miss prey animals easily. They manage to gather 7 Units of food however, purely out of luck.

Finally, with the meeting discussing the construction of a temple. None of the member knew any form of architecture practices, nor could they think of anything besides propping the fallen trees they had gathered against a center tree to make a cone shape. That was sadly the limit on their architectural knowledge. It would seem they would need time to think about these ideas to discover or create techniques.

However, during the farm set up and hunting, some ROmani reported seeing a large pure white stone that was easily three times the size of a Praetor on the surface. They don't know how large it is beneath the earth, but they felt the stone looked familiar to them.

Food: 50-25 units

Yummi

Due to their focused effort, and the amount of numbers committed to the act, and a large farm is set up and seeded with what came out to be about 60 seeds. The Yummi had spread the seeds out, but the spreading was irregular so there was random mounds all over the place in the farming area. However, it was set up nicely and they feel proud of it.

They also managed to gather about 40 units of food due to their search, and placed it in the storage area.

During the day, your people discovered some interesting creatures. An Avian whose method of flying was inflating a large bubble made of gum and kicking it's flat feet to fly, popping it to land. A large hard shelled creature about 4 feet tall. When approached, it rolled up into a hard chocolate ball and rolled away from the curious Yummi's. Finally, there was evidence of a large serpent like creature, due to shedded taffy skin that was found. The skin was roughly 30 feet long and 3 feet wide. The Yummi's were a little afraid of such a creature slithering around.

SERENDIPITOUS OCCASION

with such a surplus of resources and a sense of achievement in the air, the yummi decide to celebrate! they gather around the bonfire with all of the food they gathered this day and danced and rolled around in the feast. some even pass out in the pile of food. they wake up later in the afternoon, with some of them missing their pile of food they slept on, as if gently peeled off.

Yummi

The Yummi 'party' is a huge success, leading to good feelings to be shared by everyone present. The moral of the tribe sky rockets, and after a night of...pleasant comforts, the population has increased by a good 4 new arrivals.

The new arrivals are pretty standard for newborns. However, one of the four, a Yummi named Jiffy, stands out amongst the four. He seems to be far smarter then other Yummi, though to what extent is unknown.

Duardin

The short legs of the Duardin sunk ankle deep in the sludge of the swamp they had recently called their temporary home. Their Bonfire, fed with moss and moldy wood, burned and stank as it burned the methane in the air, filling the Duardin's nose with the smell of excrement. It wasn't pleasant, and the open sky and bright sun was playing hell with the Duardin's sense, some even going so far as to bury their faces in the mud to get some slight reprieve.

To the south was the great Sea, which shone bright with the sun's fire. To the east, merely half a day's march, stood a mountain range that filled the entire eastern horizon. The Occasional freezing wind that came from it was almost a comfort to the Duardin.

Sadly, in every other direction was swamp for as far as they could see. It was somewhat disheartening, and some began to believe that the world was only swamp and that the mountains were their only hope.

They look to their eternal for guidance, and for their chance of glory.

This is but a trial.

This was all their stout, stubborn leader said as he pulled his magnificent beard, far longer than anything his kin had grown in their short lives. Even when pulled over his shoulder, he required a young beardling to carry the end of it for him, lest it touch the mud and be soiled. He did not order his people to walk with him, he simply began trudging through the mud and swampy waters towards the mountains. "I don't know about you younglings, but I refuse to ruin my beard with mud, and I further refuse to rest until I'm sitting on good, strong stone!" The Whitebeard spoke, not looking behind him yet knowing all his kin followed.

"Grab the food and get ready for the long haul! No sleep 'till stone!" He shouted merrily, his voice like the grinding of tectonic plates.

Action: The Duardin stubbornly follow their Eternal, The Whitebeard, to the mountains eastward.

The yummi awaken at noon feeling sticky and satisfied. The leader David Bowwi in particular was exhausted from all the hugs he received in the festival of truth. The yummi have discovered that when around plenty of food and fun, what they really feel just explodes out, and everyone is satisfied to know that they all like eachother and some people even got into some sweet relationships. Except tuffy. He was left alone and cried that night. They reluctantly found out for themselves that they don't have enough food for everyone, and thus spend some time foraging. They were fairly new to farming and believe that they can just do nothing and get food when it grows, and just leave the farm the way it is to let the seeds sprout. While collecting wild food, any good plants or weaker slower animals, they would also be on the look out for any building material, as suggested by jiffy, one of he new arrivals that wild beasts they named droops dropped off. He seems to be fond of building, as shown by the browny crumble dirt buildings he formed. Just a day old and he is making city plans! By building materials they are mostly looking for long grasses.

Tiberius and other Romanii who have experienced in fighting try to train the others to follow directions and to understand brute discipline. They create dummies and use the five Praetors to train in sparring. Meanwhile, the other members of the Senate convene about technology and have decided to let the smartest among them find a way to gather some of those white rocks they found to get a better way of growing food.

Tiberius then ordered the stronger men to try and use the wood to create a makeshift homestead so that they can find a way to survive more nights. As that happened, several others tried to hunt again in hopes of learning the proper ways by themselves. They prayed a bit first to some god or goddess of hunting and started out inot the lush forests.

Meanwhile, some others played with sticks and ropes trying to actually make somthing using their limited intelligence.

Around the afternoon, they all gathered for a lengthy speech by Tiberius about the gods and improving and... morality? He started speaking about how they must treat friends who are not Romanii as Romanii and to offer them a chance of being part of the glory. Along with that, he started ranting about how to live, how to survive and other such stuff.

The Spooks stand in hard times, their home a frozen wasteland and no Corpse Master to be found. Without such a thing their population would surely dwindle and die, action is needed. Though the tribe consist only of the cruel but cool Demons and the inattentive Stiffs, both could agree that the only thing other than the two parties, the Skeleton, should be their leader. As they put it while meeting at the bonfire, 'Bone brain's probably the smartest' And thus, The Integral Rot is raised to Eternal-hood.

First order, gather entire tribe in front of bonfire and hold elections for a small council consisting of 6-8 members elected by the rest of the tribe. This council will keep the eternal informed of the tribe's wants and needs as well as providing any advice they can. This council will be named 'The Boogeymen' This will help The Eternal stay involved in his people, satisfying both his and their need for equality. Though as gathering all the Spooks together and getting them to focus without goofing around is incredibly hard, this will be a time costly event.

First 'proper' action is to organise scouting parties to discover just how far this frozen wasteland goes on for. Two Teams of four will go out towards the South and East each, consisting of a random selection of Stiffs and Demons. They will be instructed to note everything they see, particularly any stable landmarks in the distance that they might use while travelling. Another two teams, this time comprised of 8 randomly selected stiffs and Demons each will search the area immediately around the South and East sides of the camp in order to find and gather any wood usable in the Bonfire. If they find a particularly bountiful stockpile of timber they are to return to the camp with as much as they can carry. Plans will then be devised so that a proper resource harvesting sized group can establish a temporary base their.

The rest of the spooks will spend there time in camp guarding the perimeter and finding out how stable the land in camp is for building and construction.

Duardin

The Duardin march for much of the day, and rapidly the mood of the Duardin breaks down to the point that some fights broke out along the way, nearly fracturing the already angered tribe if it weren't for the logical thinking and necessity. However, words of Grudges were shared and things don't look to good between the groups.

However, after a long journey, the wind of the mountains and the thought of embracing the underdark of the earth. Many wish to skip sleep at first, but the night lulls them and they tribe sleeps the night away together, no fire to warm them and only hopes for the next day to do so.

Food: 50-25

Bonfire: 2-0

Yummi

With such a massive focus, on food gathering, the Yummi go out and find just that. A good 35 units of food, however a couple of Yummi were attacked by the serpent.

It had come out of the grass rapidly, and immediately took down two Yummi with a tail smash that would leave them out of commission for awhile. Another had his arm bitten, and the last one was cut by what seemed to be blade son it's back. However they managed to fight it off and bring the wounded back.

The Yummi Bitten has already begun to lose color in his arm, which seemed to be crusting over around the wound.

Many sticks were found however.

Food: 30-35

population: 34

Dreadion

Group #1's hunters did far better then before, the rocks proving effective weapons in bashing the heads in of prey. In fact, the hunters quickly discovered that they could throw the stones. This proved a grand discovery, and it allowed the Hunters to ambush and attack larger prey. All together, they managed to gather a good 20 units of food. Rock throwing has spread through the camp, and reached other groups.

The Lumberers managed to cut down a tree after spending all day on it. They drag it back to the camp, and show it off as they understandably feel achieved.

The gatherer collected a large of amount of leaves and berries.

Group #2/2.5's They guarded with no events occurring worth note.

Group #3's The scouts, after spending all day searching, they returned and reported they found lots more trees. One tree in particular they noted was much larger then the others, and held a canopy around itself that was as if it shielded a whole world beneath it. Vines and branches formed a gentle wall they reported, and inside were numerous flowers. They stayed for a little bit, but were chased off by sounds of frightening creatures approaching.

Group #4 spends all day experimenting and discover they can create a strong binding device out of it. The have taken it to calling it pore. They have started to try figure out how they can use rocks with it.

Romani

The training went well, the whole ordeal easily meshing well with the Romani habit of following orders. Overall the training goes well, preparing the people for threats that may arise in the future.

Those Romani assigned to discover a method of collecting the white rocks spent a long time out by them, but soon cam to the conclusion they could slowly chip away at the rock by hitting other rocks against it.

The crew meant to try and build some sort of shelter spent all day trying and failing. They weren't very successful, but they feel that if they keep at it, they could see a break through in future.

The people assigned to make something don't know what ropes are, but using the discovery before they started to try and figure out how better use the rocks. It takes some time, a fourth of which was spent discovering the rocks. It was tough, but after while, they figured out they could lodge a rock in a stick.

The Romani Have discovered "TOOLS" and have acquired 4 primitive stone clubs.

The speech goes over well, but the idea that there are people other then the Romani is rather odd to think about. And the thought they could be different, and want things they needed was a little unsettling. However, they decide to trust their leader, despite the fear he just introduced to them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spooks
The two scouting parties assigned to scouting out how far the wasteland went spent all day beyond the site of the camp, walking in the cold as they tried to find anything to help them with their mission. The east team returned before the south team, reporting that there was more ocean to the east. The south returned much later in the night, reporting that the ice field went on for what seemed like forever. However, they found debree of trees that must have been blown in due to the lack of tree life in the area. The wind came in from the south east, and it carried the branches with it from there.
The party searching for wood and exploring the area came back with dried wood, dead plants, and other such burnables, all of which seemed to also originate from the south east. They also were able to find tracks of large slow herd animals that had been made. Judging from the weather, it must have been recent.
The rest reported the ground was stable, and seemed to be frozen solid. And the evidence of animal movements meant the animals weren't afraid of it collapsing likely.
The Big Stick Policy
"Saccharine hopping idealized tarts!", exclaimed I, Theor Dorey Rossi Velts, as the blade sunk deep into my back, the top right part to be precise, making use of the right arm quite a feat for me. The best part of the experience was seeing the urgency in the eyes of jiffy when he tries to lift me up, and then fall flat on his face as the burning pain from the venom overwhelms him. We are escorted to the clearing we call home, as it was where we first met and bowwi was fawned over, but it is clear now to all of us. Home does not mean safety to us on the plains when we frolick around and pick flowers, and bowwi's looks wont save us from that damn sugar snake, well, not unless he tries harder, being a damn tease with that thing isn't going to help. They dump us infront of the pile of ashes, and were at a loss as to what to do for us, I used part of my rations to wrap my torso with some candy streamers, but it seems bleak for Jiffy, until he spoke.
His voice was usually so grating and whiny, and he spoke as fast as he thought, but when he was laying there as still as a sugar cube and cold to the touch, he spoke so quietly that it wasn't that annoying. still he tries to yell. "Theor"
I was kneeling by him. I lean in closer, I could barely hear him. "Yeah. Jiffy?"
"take my hand.", he says, in his urgent angry way. I take hold of it. his brow furrows when he feels my warmth. "Put a stick in my hand and hold on tight you big dull dummy.", I did so. a decently long one, about arms length. His teeth and hand clenched hard, I can see his fingers start melding and becoming gooey, then, and I heard a slight 'pop',
He breathes a sigh of relief as his arm comes off and is left on the stick. I heard a slight snore. His pain either knocked him out or eased enough to give him a rest. I look at the club now, and this was when it dawned on me. we give the custard a taste of his own medicine. I give Jiffy a quick hug and start sharpening the candy end to a crude point that night, too excited to get sleep. Revenge will be sweet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A new leader is selected in these times of hardship, chosen due to the fear the yummi now harbor and the safety her bloodlust represent. She arms the yummi with the sticks that Jiffy collected, as many as possible, they sharpened them the best they could. in the morning in which she declared war on the snake, they checked their farms for sprouts, and will spend the majority of the day foraging food and sticks until everyone can be armed with a stick, though, they can never hope to be of the caliber of theor vellt's jiffy joint jabber. With their new leader, they are primed for battle, always aggressively picking up wild fruits and edible plants, with a mean look on their face when they practice threatening flowers. David Bowwi is now just a pretty face. he will probably be the leader when they stop being afraid.

The Whitebeard stared up at the highlands separating the horrid marshes from the Duardin's salvation. Before him, as far as his craggy eyes could see, were uncountable mountains. Each and every one promised safety, security, the opportunity his people needed to establish themselves and propagate until each and every one of these stone spires teemed with his kin. He already had a name for these lands. These peak-peppered highlands. The hope for all Duradin , both under his beard and throughout the land.

The Mountainhomes.

Morning Action

The Whitebeard had been enjoying himself in the darkness, his eyes no longer being bombarded by damnable Mar's glare. But soon the terrible creature returned, beginning it's malicious vigil again. For now it seemed to be peaking over the the horrid marsh's treeline, biding it's time? The thought worried the Duardin leader, and simply made his drive to somehow carve out a new home for his people. He thought over this as his follows began to stir. There was much to do, and the industrious creature knew the value in not throwing all his resources at a single task. The Whitebeard set about listing what needed to be done into his pragmatic mind, grouping his Duardin clansmen accordingly.

He ensured to avoid grouping begrudging parties together, knowing he would need to address these burgeoning grudges before they became sealed by spite. He knew better than anyone that a grudge, even a minor one, could last generations.

He creates a group of fifteen Duardin, ordering them to go out and collect food in the marshes and highlands until nightfall. This would allow them to gauge just how fruitful the surrounding lands are. This was a vital activity that required success, otherwise their stocks would run dry by the next day, and he refused to lose a single Duardin to the predations of starvation. Such a fate is fit for lesser creatures, not one of the Earth's Children, the keepers of fate.

He then assigned five other Duardin to gather rock, which should be rather easy given they're at the edge of a massive mountain range. Meanwhile three others were sent out to gather wood. Both groups would be out until Afternoon. The final two Duradin, those stealthiest of foot, would be sent deeper into the mountains to explore until nightfall.

He began thinking to himself, he had a design in his mind that would allow the craggy stone before them to be parted quite easily. It would require both wood and stone, along with some kind of adhesive. He thought this over, would one require an adhesive? What if he merely stuck the stone through the wood itself? If done with precise enough measurements,and with the right thickness of log, it should be firm enough to utilize under the stress of hitting stone.

As Mar rose higher into the sky in it's attempts to bring terrible suffering to the world, the Whitebeard thought over these topics, idly listening to the younger Duardin complain about their pseudo-grudges. Once conditions stabled out, he would address these ill-feelings.

Afternoon action
Two of the rock gatherers and one of the wood gatherers return and sleep.

Night action

The three rested Duardin will keep watch for the night, sleeping in shifts of three hours. The rest of the Duardin will return by this point and sleep. Before they went off to sleep, though, the Whitebeard would gather them together to discuss these feelings of resentment, and give a speech regarding unity.

"My sons and daughters, under Mar's glare we have been tested by the aboveworld. Many of us have become dissatisfied by trudging through the muck like lesser creatures, tired of being forced to stare at the light which blinds us. But there is hope, before us lies the Mountainhomes. These holds will be our salvation, our beginning! We will carve out our homes beneath the earth, where safety and riches are abundant for all Duradin. All children of the stone will flock to our mighty hold, and through our labor and work our descendants will fill each and every mountain our eyes fall upon now, from peak to base!" He paused, allowing silence to fall upon his short-haired followers. So young, so much to learn about the world. "This is our new beginning, and as such we must let go of our grievances gained on the surface. The surface is tainted by complacency and a thousand other sins we must not take with us into our Mountainhomes. Look to your aggrieved brother, look to your wronged sister, and forgive them. Sleep on this, for we are all Duradin."

As the dawn approaches, Tiberius rallies the disciplined warriors and draws a plan on the ground for routine scouting patrol every day. He tells them to shift between this group and the next after five laps to make sure that if one gets tired, the other one can take over. Meanwhile, the new tools the smarter ones made was equipped to the most experienced fighters becoming Captains in an army.

Meanwhile, the other smart ones talk and convene about life, death, and all that stuff. They become intellectually connected and created a small circle of wise people who try and improve the ways of learning for those who are unlearnt. Other smart ones try to figure out better ways of growing their food aside from hunting. They know that someday the animals might be used up, so they better plan for a long term food strategy now or else. The try to spend the entire day doing just that.

The Senate talk about the speech given by Tiberius last night and try to formulate strategies once they find other such non-Romanii people. The strategies they form shall become staples for millenia and will be protocols in case of problems.

The hunters hunt again after praying to the god of hunting. Along the way, they gather berries and fruits that look to be edible and when they return they shall throw a huge gathering feast.

At the end of the day, Tiberius tells another speech, this time about the importance of war and how those who will not accept the Romanii culture shall be purged by their weapons.

The Integral Rot waked out into the camp in front of the bon fire. His first business of the morning being a meeting with his Boogeymen. The Spooks were, of course, worried for the future, even the light hearted japery experienced in the meeting was not enough to distract from their dire situation, and the whole tribe felt similar. The Integral Rot assures them that everything will be fine and that keeping spirits up is very important. The ole head on the elbow gag helping calm his Boogeymen's nerves. He then asks them if they have any suggestions for construction products that they or the people would believe to be beneficial.

After the meeting Rot gestured to a few Stiffs and Demons that had been hanging around the fire. He decided that these three would be tasked with keeping a constant eye on the Bon fire, making sure to keep count of the amount of fuel used to keep it going for a day. With this rough estimate he may be able to get an idea of how much of a stock pile he'll need to get his people out of the wastes. He also decides that one of his fuel recovery parties could go out again, this time telling them to spend most of there time scavenging in the South East were it had yielded the best results. He ordered the scouting party that had been exploring the East to go out and search the area for any more signs of these heard animals and try and discern where they are coming from. He decided the small scout party would be best for this job as he didn't want to scare the animals with a larger group's presence.

After the groups had been sent out, he asked a few of his Boogeymen for suggestions for ten or so individuals well known for their analytical minds or that had shown any intuitive behaviour. With so many people left at camp, he would need for some experimentation. Theory was the only non-lethal approach he had for testing the water of this situation.

Dreadion

Group #1 meets with similar fortune, gathering another 23 food. However, the recent success had made a few of the hunters cocky, and they attempted to engage a large unfamiliar animal with their hunting techniques and stone. The creature however was far more dangerous then anything they had seen thus far.

2 hunters were crushed by its massive paws, killed instantly. A third had his arm mauled by the creature, removing all the flesh below the elbow and completely tearing off the hand. The fourth one, the one who lead the attack, left without any wounds and carried the wounded member back. They lost 8 of the food they had gathered, and were left with bringing 15 food back to the camp, along with a gravely wounded Dreadion.

The Gatherers brought back more leafs and berries, and the lumberers brought back another log.

Group #2/2.5 continued with nothing to report.

Group #3 reported finding a small pond, but other then that nothing else to report.

Group #4 manage to make various colored clutches of goop. They have no idea if there are edible or not.

Group #5, after spending all day experimenting and fabricating, figured out just how to go about making tools. At the end of the day, you have 3 stones tied to sticks.

Yummi

Sadly, the farm had yet to seem to begin to show progress. However, one of the seeds had been dug up by something and been stolen, leaving only an empty hole in the ground. There were evidence of roots left over in the soil though, which was good news.

The foraging yields enough sticks for each Yummiy to wield one with some left over. However, upon finding a tree, this supply grew until the yummi's had enough sticks to give each yummi three. The food was also decent enough, returning with 20 food. More would have been gathered, but some had been to scared to focus on the food gathering or to occupied with threatening flowers.

speaking of which, the threatening seemed to be going well. Due to the Yummi's inherent skill with words, they have gained an understanding how to seem more dangerous then they actually were with sounds and words. They have learned how to intimidate effectively enough to scare creatures smaller then them.

Population 34-34

Food: 35-21 units

Duardin

The food gatherers did not have the best of luck, a combination of the surface's harshness on them and their unfamiliarty with the terrain only allowing them to bring back ten units of food. However, they did find a location near by that was a simple mudhole with swine like creature resting within. The Duardin had not approached, for the mud slowed them considerably and the creature had obviouse tusks on display as they lounged.
The rock gathering Duardin find a kings ransom of loose stones, spending the whole day bring back arm fulls of stone and rocks. At the end, they had collected around 80 head sized rocks.

The wood gathers fared similarly, but only brought back about 4 fallen logs that were partially rotted, and numerous sticks.

The final two Duardin spent the whole day searching the nearby mountain, and though it was tough and tiring, the mere presence of the mountain carried their feet and lifted their spirits. With the enthusiasm of children, they managed to explore two hexes in a single day. And Amazing feet with the scope of the terrain. With this, they came back with good news. They found three caves.

One of the caves had been in the nearest mountain and had swamp water within it. It seemed to extend further in the mountain, with the swamp water following it.

The second cave was further into mountains, and while it was untouched by the swamp in anyway, it was up a rather risky climb with some icy paths along the way.

The final cave was the furthest, but it was both untouched by the swamp, low enough to avoid the cold, and was extremely easy to get to. However, the entrance had evidence of a camp fire, which greatly concerned the Duardin. They feared the mountains may already be claimed by a lesser race, and already speak of committing a grudge against the race. They had not seen anyone, or anything, however to know for sure if they still were near.

The speech at the end of the night is greatly effective, calming many of the grievances, in no small part due to the moral boost the mountains themselves gave. That night, the Duardin are calmed and hopeful.

Population: 25-26

Food: 25-10

Bonfire: 0-0

Romani

By spending time to think on it, the circle of thinkers eventually came to the conclusion that if some went without food one day, and another group went without food the next while the last was fed, and this pattern repeated, they could effectivly double how long their food would last. This would only work with fruits and other such plants, as meat would rot within only a couple hours,

A new strategy is formed. It involves Romani keeping the enemies attention while large groups flank on both sides. The two "horns" would crash into the side sof the enemy, while the "Head" of the bull suddenly charged forward to catch the possible enemy in a three sided battle. It's dubbed the "Bull's Prison"

The hunters return with a large quantity of food, coming back with just enough to feed the tribe for another day. However, many of the hunters have voice being uncomfortable about praying to an unseen being. They are unsure if they are just wasting their time or not. While the haul for the day makes them think otherwise, there are still many who are skeptical. One however, has decided to refer to the goddess by a name when referring to her, and others have picked up the name out of convenience. The name has come to be "Arthega", Goddess of the Hunt.

The scouting patrols get used to their drills and the hike up and down the hills in the area, but soon get the hang of it. Nothing is reported, however there are rumors that one of the guards disappeared briefly while patrolling to only reappear attached to the patrol that was to replace his patrol.

Population: 27-28

Food: 23-27

Bonfire: 2-1 days
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spooks
The three tasked with watching the bonfire determined that about 20 sticks were thrown on the fire every six hours, leading to a conclusion that 40 were needed a day in order to keep the fire going. However, the fire would likely last for a couple days if merely kindled with a little wood.
The wood gatherers returned with a large amount of sticks, returning with about eighty, as well as news that the horizon seemed to hold the appearance of storm clouds clearing and dieing down.
The eastern scouting party spent the full day trying to learn of the creatures. They determined that their tracks came from the same direction as the sticks came, and lead to the ocean. Upon investigating, they managed to view from a distance a large herd of white furred creatures. They did not get close enough to discern much else, fearing they would frighten the herd, but they estimated there were about 30 or more in the herd.
After a full day, 20 exceptionally bright Spooks were brought before the Integral rot. Each was highly intelligent, and judging from the conversations they had with one another, they had many ideas to share.
Post by Thebluemage Tue Feb 23, 2016 5:39 pm
Morning:
The Whitebeard did not require sleep, and thus after his kin took their rest he stayed up to think over what he had learned. While he thought, he took some of the rocks and the thickest sticks his people had gathered and began to try and carve an opening in the stick to craft a tool sturdy enough to break stone. He had visions in his mind of far greater examples, wrought from the iron and other strange metals he had seen in his youth, but for now this was enough. He did not know from whence these visions came, he could not recall anything from before the tribe formed.
He also thought over the tusked creature found by his brave gatherers. Hunting the creature and killing it was the first suggestion of many of his kin, but he knew that was but a temporary solution. They could perhaps use that creature, tame it. It knew these lands better than they did, and it could be persuaded to help them find more food. But a Duardin works partly off their stomach, and these stomachs needed to be filled for maximum productivity.
What they also required, what they had longed for, was relief from Mar. Now they could have it. He quickly mapped out how he would handle these caves in his head. The closest cave, while containing swamp water, was still a cave.
Ah, but Mar would rise soon, and with them his kin. They would expect guidance from the eldest among them.
Which, coincidentally, was him.
Thirty minutes later, all the Duardin were awake, chatting with each other regarding the sights they had witnessed yesterday or interrogating the now famous explorers, brothers Bronk and Karlk who have earned the epithet "Stonefoot" for their discoveries. They all ceased discussion as the Whitebeard stood up, preparing to give them their daily duties.
He gathered 5 Duardin to go out into the marsh and gather food, led by the most empathetic Duardin among them to lead them. He ordered this leader, a dwarf female named Bianca with hair as dark as the swamp soil, to earn the trust of the tusked creature by any means she could think of, even using food if necessary. With the ghost of a smile, she and her companions journeyed back into the muck. He left Bronk Stonefoot to guide the foragers to the Swampy Cave while the rest of them went to said cave to create a new settlement. It was not ideal, but a damp cave was far better than no cave at all.
>Send 5 Duardin to forage for food in the marsh and befriend the Boar-thing. Return by Afternoon.
>Send 5 Duardin to forage for food in the mountains. Return by Afternoon.
>Leave Bronk Stonefoot to lead the Duardin back by afternoon.
>the remaining 15 Duardin and the Whitebeard head to the Swampy Cave.
Noon:
Upon reaching the cave, the Whitebeard would immediately begin exploring it, sending all fifteen in while he continued to tinker with his stone pick concept, he will continue to do this until Night.
>Explore cave until the Afternoon. Except for Karlk Stonefoot, who will be ordered to rest up for tonight.
>Whitebeard continues working on his stone pick design until night.
Afternoon:
By afternoon, the Duardin sent out into the mountains and marshes(10) should return with results, led by Bronk. Should this be so, they will be allowed to rest. (11 Return)
Whitebeard will show his work to five of the most intelligent Duardin, seeking their input and assistance in crafting and designing the pick. (5 begin to learn/add input to the pick design)
Two of the Duardin will go to the Icy Mountain, their stout physiology should be enough to conquer any natural obstacles. (Two Duardin go to explore the icy mountain.)
The remaining seven will go out into the mountains to explore and gather food, focusing on any other organisms and plants that might be living within the mountains.
Night:
Use a log to start a bonfire, for warmth rather than light. All but Karlk Stonefoot shall sleep, he will be sent with the Whitebeard to examine the apparently inhabited cave. If they appear to be hostile creatures, then they will attempt to remain hidden and leave. If it is empty or the occupants seem peaceful, they will be explore more closely.
>Light bonfire
>Investigate populated cave.
As night fell last night, Tuffy was crying again and it was really getting on Jiffy's nerves. Jiffy was left on a pile of softer brownie dirt, situated near the outskirts of town, and he was thus the closest one to Tuffy. It was clear that screaming at him to shutup did not work, so he dragged his fatigued carcass over to Tuffy, and they hit it off after Tuffy finished whining about bullies and shared his ideas. Jiffy almost always looked down on others, but Tuffy was one of the few people he has ever met that didn't sound like an idiot following the prettiest thing even if it'd kill them. From then on, they would become what was known to yummi as sticky buddies, familial in relationship and willing to die saving the other. This came to anger the possessive Theor, and then a sour relationship sprung between Tuffy and Theor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On that morning, Theor informed everyone that they were still in danger, granted they now each have more sticks than they fucking know what to do with, they need to change that, she says, they need to learn how to use them. As she has been the most vengeful and furious in her hunt, she was busy swinging her candy headed weapon at anything in anticipation to the next meeting with the legendary sugar snake they have dubbed a Bandersnatch. She announces an immediate training plan where she will systematically kick everyone's ass in a humiliating but not too painful or wounding way and then teach them how to not get their ass kicked so hard.
Following that she will pick out the strongest, vengeful, and bravest yummi and tell them to get ready to be heroes as her personal bodyguard, head of arms, and tasked for defending when foraging and meant to assist in bringing down the snake. the titan slayers, the snake guard, or the cream puff squad, their names will strike fear into enemies and allies alike for being near them will mean that something serious is going to go on. She would only select the best half for this, with David Bowwi having some strings pulled to be a captain due to the loyalty he inspires and the motivation he brings about for others to work hard so they can be next to him, and Jiffy as an honorary member, a part of him always in the hunt. The other half will be lead by Jiffy as the foodies, in charge of learning how to get as much food as possible and as a general labor force in times of surplus yet danger.
They then go on a group forage, though two are left to keep track of the farm and make sure it isn't picked off of again. they blame the bird, who they have named jub jub, for this. they are tasked to stab it when it comes near and then eat it to steal its powers. some of them believe that eating it would give them powers.

The two that stayed behind were Jiffy, who was still armless, and Tuffy, who people didn't like. they didn't look for birds and stand around all day and instead talked about stone age nerd shit, like inventing math or planning for the future, such as the chance that hell would happen and dreaded  water falls from the sky in large amounts. panic would strike at the slightest sprinkle. They started gathering long grass and decided that they should all hide under it when hell happens.

SHORT FORM:
morning: Training in general combat
noon: further training of half the population to kill larger things while training the other half how to better extract and collect food and to look for it more thoroughly and pick more efficiently
afternoon until night: foraging with 32 people. 2 left at camp to protect farm. they goof off and get grass instead.
late

Zadkeil was furious with the decision making and the primal instinct of the hunting leader to allow such a target to be allowed. two good Dreadion have died and one is now horribly maimed. Zadkeil decided to make the Hunting leader teach all they know to a new Dreadion which will be taking his place as he will move into the guard and be band from hunting. However due to his skill of not being eaten or killed as well as saving one of the three who were attacked, he will receive the second name. He shall now be refereed as Agares for his bravery. For the rest of the morning Zadkeil explained to the tribe as to the reasons not to allow ones self to be lax with the thought of victory. There's always those who wish for our down fall. Those of low and higher power.

Group #5 hand out the tools he made for three groups. The hunting party and lumberer party get on each and the scouts get one as well. As Group #5 returns to work they encounter their Eternal Zadkeil waiting. Zadkeil wanted them to try out two new ideas that popped into his head. the first was a new pore meshing that would help with containing or "Capturing" a live target. he showed them what it would look like by dragging his talon across the dirt in a criss-cross pattern. This would allow them to catch and subdue a target to hunt or to imprison. The second idea was to improve on the original stone tool design be editing the tools head into the shape of an in-curved fan.

He explains how the tool can be incorporated in things like digging, chopping, hunting, fighting ranged and close by. This would allow them to cut down on the different types of tools needed by the clan as well as having a simple design for Group #5 to follow and build. their objective was to work on these designs for the day.

Zadkeil then goes to visit Group #4 with the injured dreadion. This dreadion will be the substitute test subject until they can find a suitable replacement. The dreadion which has given up on life after losing his arm accepts the position to either get better or end his miserable life. Group #4 will test the concoctions they made the day prior on the dreadion as well as examining the dreadion's body.

Group #3 will scout South-West today.
Group #2/2.5 will continue as normal.
Group #1 will head to the eastern forest today to give the northern forest a rest.

Noon action:
Group #3 would have reached destination and learnt what was in that direction.
Group #3 will return after finding out.

Afternoon action:
Group #1 must return to camp at this time with gathered resource. the wood will be saved until further notice.

Night action:
Group #3 would by now have return to camp with news that they will elaborate on in the morning.
All Groups beside Group #2.5 will go to sleep at of this time, Group #2.5 will wake up and start night duty for the night.

Tiberius picks up the talk of people calling the goddess of hunt "Arthega" and begins the day talking about her existence and starts talking about how gods are real and that he as chosen by them to lead them to victory.

After the starting speech, he talked with the group of thinkers to come up with a way for them to strike at enemies from afar. The others still try to find better farming methods in order to create a long term way for them to get food. They experiment with seeds, using the soil around them to check what things are missing other than sunlight and water for them to fully grow food.

A fight broke off between a non-believer and a zealot. The non-believer managed to strike and kill the zealot and everyone was shocked. Tiberius came and carried the dead Romanii back towards where he was born: the Mud Pits.

Meanwhile, the hunters decided that they will not hunt that day but rather would gather fruits and herbs in order to create a more balanced way of eating for them. Some decided that since there is a goddess of the hunt, there could be a goddess of plants and fruits so they prayed to that deity as well. Thye set out towards te deeper part of the forests to try and find more plant food to eat.

The Senate then started talking about who would become their next leader once Tiberius life is cut short and decided on a pious Romanii named Augustus. They dared not tell this to TIberius lest they try to incur the wrath of the gods.

Morning

Rot was pleased see such discussion among the Spooks. His goofy skeleton features beaming with happiness despite the lack of a jaw making smiling quite impossible. He began to walk among the discussion, listening in on the ideas and creative solutions without hindering the pleasing event. He his flooded many ideas based on their situation. He hears a Demon guy, A Fiery Gab he thinks he was called, off handedly remark that the wood recovery party should just go out automatically, seeing as they are nothing but a benefit. Apart from his snarky tone, Rot nodded with the sentiment. Remembering to say to the party of eight who had gone out twice now that they should continue to do so until instructed otherwise. A group of about 5 or so were having a heated debate about when they should begin to move out. 3 of the 5 agreeing that if the resources of wood keep becoming more plentiful the further south-east they travel then they should begin travelling now, then, take every other day off to search for more wood and scout. However the other two were hesitant, fearful that they would not be prepared for any danger along the way. Plus they would miss out on an opportunity to investigate this herd they encountered. Or even domesticate them. Rot wasn't sure what side he lay on yet but hearing the pros and cons helped him. All the rest had branched off into groups of twos or three, talking about more immediate ideas. Some has been messing around with some wood, seeing how they could slide it along the ground. After a fair few moments of messing around and sliding about the ice, the concurred that this could maybe be used to efficiently move the more heavy equipment along the ground. Improving the groups travel time. Rot tells the trio to continue on this and see if they can improve on their design any. As well as test out each step as they create it. The rest was just general conversation, how they might warm themselves with these animals and their fur, anything they could use to make gathering easier, etc Not much of note now but Rot believes that these first discussions could be the start of many great inventions.

Noon

He leaves the group, issuing out the new orders to the gathers who would go out immediately afterwards. The one you talked to, a strong looking stiff with a endearing grin, seemed to have garnered trust from the others. They must look to him as their party leader, A Penchant to Pace, hopefully he can make sure him and his cohorts become more confident in their exploration without endangering themselves.

After a brief talk with his Boogeymen about who might be brave enough and quiet enough to observe the herd without scaring them off for good, a name was repeated several times. An Elegant Touch. A Demon girl with a delicate frame but with eyes that seemed intense enough to burrow through you. After explaining to her that it could be potentially dangerous getting so close, she waves Rot off. Confident that such 'majestic' and 'beautiful' beasts would be too busy in their daily routine to notice her quietly watching. She seemed almost obsessed with these things, or maybe she just liked their fur and wanted it for herself. Either way, Rot wasn't gonna question, least he tick her of. They come to an agreement and she leaves with a small amount of sticks (5) so that she can camp out near the beasts and watch them for a couple days. He felt bad sending her off on her own but if she really is as right for the job as the others say then he would have to trust her.

Rot spends the rest of his day walking around. Juggling his ribs, pulling the old handshake hand loss gag, and even getting a prank or two pulled on himself. Hopefully keeping his spirits up, as well as the spirits of anyone he meets along the way.

Afternoon

An Elegant Touch should have arrived to were the herd were stationed, quietly hanging back and watching the creatures as the get on with their daily basis. She notes several things from her spot. Mostly what they eat and where this food is located. Whether or not they seem to be docile creatures or if they are often aggressive. How they are with their young and how vulnerable is their young. And any other useful tid bits that might be used in either hunting or domestication.

Night

The wood gatherers should have returned with their materials. Rots asks them how long they would guess their current gathering range would remain a viable source or how long until they have gathered up enough wood that it isn't particularly worth it any more.

An Elegant Touch should have retreated from her vantage point to a safe distance and set up her camp fire for the night.
