Physical appearance: When not swathed in blankets, Alex appears to be a young male human. His hazel eyes often barely peek out from under his brown, tangled bush of a haircut. His skin is pale, which is to be expected of one who doesn't see sunlight often. He's a little short for his age, a little pudgy. He wears a blue shirt with his symbol in white on it (mostly to keep his Aunt happy - she's the one who got it for him and it's not his favorite shirt). He wears jeans, and when he has to leave the house, sneakers.

Personality: Alex is a calm person, hardly ever discontent with anything that comes his way. Part of that comes from a belief that fate has a plan for everyone, part of that comes from a complete lack of being able to change his Aunt’s behavior in any way, so he might as well accept it. He’s not so much lazy as he likes to be still when he works (or at least that’s what he tells himself). One of the only things that can really get him up and excited is the prospect of going camping – then he’s up, packing, ready to hit the road.

His true passion, though, lies in art. He’s quite proud of most of the things he makes, though he tries not to brag about it. He’s always happy to share, open to critique, and especially likes when his friends share *their* work with him. However, even when painting, he likes to stay wrapped up and warm. He mostly paints scenery, but tries his hand at drawing people and characters from time to time, especially when he wants to thank someone.

Alex is a follower by heart, though more of following his instincts than following what anyone else wants him to do. He’d be confused why anyone saw him as a leader, though. He’s selfless in mindset, but doesn’t respect the work his Aunt does to try to make him happy. He wishes she’d just cool her jets for one day. He tends to work with his emotions, but he’s known to physically hide in stressful situations. He’s an introvert, except when it comes to his tendency to gamble. He frequently wagers with his friends, staking favors or dares on the line. He usually loses.

If your character were stranded on an island and could only bring two things with them, what would they be?: Sketchbook and a pile of blankets. That'll keep him going until he dies of dehydration, easily.
