Two Doomed Players [Closed]
An innocent young girl sits in her cushioned chair and stares at her computer screen. She is the quiet type, not prone to having many friends or talking very much. But the on friend she did talk to more often than anyone else was online! Finally!
-- cadransFerronière [CF] began pestering fedoraChaser [FC] --
CF: Hello!
CF: It's been a little since we talked, I was feeling a little worried for your well being.
CF: But I am glad to see you are online once again! ⊂( ・ ̫・)⊃
Even at this simple gesture of concern the girl blushes. Now, what is her name?
The girl's name is Jewl Amethyst. She has many hobbies including GEMOLOGY, WRITING, and WATCHING CUTE/FUNNY VIDEOS. She is 16 years old and has a birthday in only 3 days. Her friend whom she pestered hasn't told her he received her present to him yet, but that may be because it is just taking a very long time. She hopes he likes it when he gets it. Jewl wonders if he got her anything...[/color]

Re: Two Doomed Players [Closed]
A tall and rather swavey young man, at least he'd like you to think he was, was sitting at his computer, sniffling to himself gently. He had recently gotten the Flu and was still in recovery, but finally well enough to check up on his computer, mainly his little gem.
FC: I'm sorry for being gone my dear, it's so good to hear from you again!
FC: It pained me to be away for so long cutie, but sickness can be quite the nasty mistress...
FC: And how would my little jewel be today, Jewl?
He sat back and sighed, he missed flirting with this girl he hardly knew, it was his bread and butter honesly, besides, she was one of the best conversationalists he had met so far in his life, he'd grown well attached...Now who was he?
The boy's name is Timo Hadewell and when not engaging in his favorite hobby of FLIRTING, he can commonly be found FISHING, SWIMMING, or practicing ARCHERY. He smiled to himself as he was blissfully unaware of the gift waiting in his post office box on shore, he'd likely go check it later as he looked to the vase of flowers to his side, sighing. He'd wanted to send those to her honestly for her upcoming birthday but...there was no way they'd survive...

Re: Two Doomed Players [Closed]
The way Timo talked always made her blush, but she would never admit it.
CF: I am well and I am happy to have you in better health now, Timo.
CF: Um...
CF: Did you perhaps receive a package recently? Hopefully one that was not bent or crushed?
CF: Oh, and Tino says hi too! ヘ(^・・^=)~
Jewl pet her small cat that had jumped into her lap. She had sent Timo a set of 12 arrowheads made out of gems she had found in the caves by her house. It took a little while to whittle them down but she was pleased with the turnout. She knew he liked archery and why not give him some better and reusable tips? She really is the best there is at giving gifts. At least in her opinion.

FC: A package? I don't think I have my dear I'm sorry to say...though I'd be happy to go check on my next trip into town~
And tell the little kitten I say hello right back!
Timo chuckled, she was such a sweetheart, he already knew it was a gift of somesort, she sent them all the time, the question was just...what?
It could be anything...related to gemstones at least!

Re: Two Doomed Players [Closed]
Jewl nuzzled her cat and gently put him on the floor watching him scamper onto her bed and curling up into a little furry ball. She was about to answer Timo when another message beeped at her.
-- ??? [??] began pestering cadransFerronière [CF] --
Take this game.
?? sent file SBURB
-- ??? [??] ceased pestering cadransFerronière [CF] --
Jewl stared at the file, her little heart beating extremely fast at the unexpected encounter. She hesitantly clicked on it, opening up to windows on her laptop. One titled CLIENT and the other titled SERVER. Jewl quickly message Timo about it.
CF: Timo, some weird person just sent me a file.
CF: I opened it and it came up with these windows and I don't understand what they are.
CF: No one is supposed to be able to contact me except you!
CF: ヾ( •́д•̀ ;)ノ

Timo's smooth grin fell and he shot up in his seat, his eyes wide and panicked, typing away violently to alert her, his breathing harsh.
FC: NONONONO DO NOT OPEN STRANGE FILES
FC: TYPE BLOCKING HIM
FC: SHIT, SHIT THIS ISN'T GOOD
Calm and cool as always Timo...

Re: Two Doomed Players [Closed]
CF: I'm really scar- wait a moment.
CF: Is this... Is this a game?!
CF: Someone just sent me a game and it's called SBURB.
CF: If it's only a game then it can't be that bad. Perhaps the Pesterchum administrators sent out the game to their users?
CF sent file SBURB
Jewl decided to send the game to Timo in hopes to find out what kind of game it was. He was more knowledgable about it than her. At least that's what she thought. She got up and opened the blinds in her room, immediately brightening up the place. The several crystals and gems hanging in her room lit up her walls with all the colors of the rainbow. She went over to her fridge and got out a bottle of water, cracking it open and going back to her chair.
Jewl's house was a two room house. The living space and the bathroom. Everything from her bed to her stove were in the living area. In her bathroom was a jacuzzi tub, a large shower, a toilet, and two sinks. As Jewl sat she thought about clicking one of the install buttons on either the CLIENT or SERVER window. Maybe she had better wait for Timo to answer her.

FC: Hon as much as I like the adventurous type of woman you shouldn't play with unknown software
FC: Even if it's only games!
FC: Wait...did you send it to me!?
Timo sighed and sat back dumbfounded that she would drag him into this...though it was flattering to know she had some level of trust in him to help he with it. Since she suddenly walked away he groaned, getting up to get a drink of his own, Ginger Ale, as he waited for her response.
His home, in comparison, was in hot water...literally. He was out in the middle of the Hamburg bay on a small Houseboat. was it cramped? Yes. But he always though it had an...interesting charm.

CF: My computer didn't scan any viruses. It could be a fun thing for us to do!
Cf: Don't you think?
Sometimes Jewl wished her friend would just go along with her antics. But in the end she knew he couldn't refuse.
CF: You wouldn't let a girl venture into unknown territory without protection would you? ⊂( ・ ̫・)⊃

Re: Two Doomed Players [Closed]
Jewl does a little happy dance in her chair.
CF: Oh yay!
CF: I will patiently await your return from town! ⊂( ・ ̫・)⊃
In the mean time, Jewl decides that she should go out and look for more cool gemstones with Tino. She plucks up her cat and grabs a sun hat and her phone. It's always a good idea to go out with protection from the sun and a means of communication. She makes sure she is logged onto the pester chum app and walks outside into the sumshine.

Re: Two Doomed Players [Closed]
Timo rushed outside and, with a quick change, lept into the bay, swimming to shore with a bit of a struggle, gasping as he climbed out onto the beach, removing his phone from his pocket to fire it up.
Thank gog for life proof casings

Re: Two Doomed Players [Closed]
Jewl's phone dings as she gets the messages. She figured she'd reply in a moment. She takes a well worn trail to the mouth of a cave and uses the flashlight on her phone to look around. The walls glistened with moisture and gems. Not all of these gems were really worth digging for. To be honest, Jewl thought they usually looked prettier in the cave than in her hand. Nature is beautiful.

Timo walked out though the streets of the city, taking a long deep breath as he eased into the crowd, making his way to the post office box and pulling out his gift, smiling to himself gently as he noticed the sender's name while tucking it away in a card.

Re: Two Doomed Players [Closed]
Jewl's journey through the cave was short but fruitful. She had picked up several loose gems that complimented each other quite nicely and figured she'd make some jewelry to sell online. That was her main source of income after all.
CF: I hope you enjoy your present, by the way!
CF: It took longer to make and send than I b had thought, so I apologize for it being late.

Re: Two Doomed Players [Closed]
It took a quick swim to get back to the boat but he finally wrestled his way to the deck, pulling out his phone to message her back.
FC: You know you're far too good for me my little jewel...
He smiled and began to tear into the box excitedly, stopping at what he saw inside, taking out the arrow tips to examine them in the light, shaking his hand a little.
FC: ...Thank you...

Re: Two Doomed Players [Closed]
Jewl's cheeks were a little flushed.
CF: It was nothing!
CF: Anything for a good friend like you, Timo.
Jewl waited a moment before looking at the two game screens. The one named client seemed to be the less complicated one so she clicked start. A very mesmerizing Spiro graph rotated on her screen.
CF: When you load up the game, click the server screen. I think this game was meant to have some sort of reliability on the players serving each other.
CF: Of course, I am not a game theorist.

FC: Every day I love ya a little bit more you know...
He chuckled, seeing her message and clicking on his Server file, seemed they had to play differing versions to play together...fair enough, like pokemon maybe?

Jewl's face was a bright ruby red. She blew a piece of hair from her face and saw the word "CONNECTED" on her screen. She tilted her head and took a sip of water.
CF: Awesome!
CF: My screen says you connected to me.

He sat back with a smug smile, while he wasn't really questioning HOW yet he could see Jewl on his screen right now from the server prompt, sitting at her desk.

Her eyes widened and she covered her cheeks.
CF: How did you know!?
CF: Uhhh I am not blushing! Nope.
CF: (*/。\)
Jewl decided to get up and kind of move around, to test if he really could see her or if he was just guessing. He was really good at that sometimes.

Jewl stops walking around, glancing at the ceiling. This sire was weird. She thought maybe she could see him as well if she were to boot up the SERVER screen. But that would wait until they both understood what was going on.
CF: Well, is there anything on your screen? Like um... tools or something?
CF: Perhaps this is like the Sims or something.

She watches in awe as her stuffed animal flies across her room. She runs over an picks it up, dusting off it's head.
"Poor Mr. Snuggles! " She hugs him close and sits back down.
CF: Did you throw Mr. Snuggles on purpose?
CF: Um, I mean, did you throw this elephant?
